Come to an ART CLASS and grow, share, meet new friends, and have a great time. I would love to share some collage techniques with you! You can have fun and discover your own creativity! Come on! ART is FUN!!

I’m delighted to present the exciting art schedule for the next couple of months. No experience necessary. All day long art retreats include tons of FUN, cool supplies (sometimes there are special circumstances requiring a tool kit) gentle but enthusiastic encouragement and a delicious homemade LUNCH! The upcoming Sacramento spring weather makes it perfect for us to gather outside and dine al fresco. YAY!

Classes are held at Studio 9 at the Brickhouse Gallery, 2837 36th Street, Sacramento, CA 95817 (corner of 36th Street and Broadway).

One more very exciting thing about art at Studio 9… you can create your own personalized art retreat. The ever popular, and deservedly so, encaustic class is back-but this time with a little more pizzazz. Hopefully (but not necessary) you have some encaustic experience because we are going to step it up a notch! Mix shellac and fire and get an awesome outcome. Intaglio, foil, painting with wax. Dipping in wax. Embedding in wax. Just a few of the techniques to challenge and inspire you! Only five spots available.

This is the second time this class has been offered since the first was so successful! Plaster casting, making books with paris craft covers and creating a masterpiece from plaster and mixed media - we're going to do it ALL! Dress for mess and outdoor FUN!

Learn collage basics including composition, color theory and rule of nine while using cool painting techniques with new and exciting products, layering elements, collaging paper and stamping. You’ll wow yourself at how your collage comes together for artwork ready to hang!

Plaster Gauze Book and Plaster Casting at The Stamp Art Shoppe
A new way to use plaster gauze - it’s versatile and fun! We will make an accordion book with plaster gauze covers. Then we will cast our own figurehead cover piece from plaster of Paris to decorate our covers. Numerous plaster alteration techniques will be covered!
