da man

Today is about Prince Charming!  Yep, he is all that and a bag of chips.  Don’t really know how we managed to find each other amongst 6 billion or so people but sometimes shooting stars collide and it happens.  We’ve been together for almost 20 years, 10 of them married.  Ray is an academic sort.  Sometimes we even call him Mr. Know-it-all and he smiles… knowing it all.  For me, this is a great thing.  I’m positive we can’t have two artists in the family.  He is always there to support my shows, my classes, my website (!), my successes and my temper tantrums.  He’s a zen man with a deep voice and a sensitive nature.  His hobbies are loving a crazy, living out loud, sometimes out of control, creative type.  Lucky me.

Two kitties

I didn’t mean to start chronologically – I’m much more scattered than that.  But, there it is.  The topic of two… my two kitties.  Sisters.  Polar opposites.  Like most sisters, they get along if they have to, fight when they want to, copy each others attitudes and on the most primal level, they really do love each other.  These two entertain me like a good movie.  They also annoy me with their indecisiveness regarding whether they want to be in or out, especially when I’m running late.

Izzie and Mia.  (yes, they have many nicknames and are rarely called by their given names!)  My two kitties.

one

oneSo here I am, one joining millions.  It’s ok, I’m not shy.  And I am somewhat of an adventurer.   I recently went to a women’s workshop with 300,000 participants.  Yep!  Of course we were telcomunnicating but we were 300,000 ‘ones’.  All individual, all exceptional, each with our own dreams.  Yet I never felt so connected.  I liked it.  That’s what blogging is like right?  Isn’t it?

Being one isn’t the loneliest number you’ll ever do!
